The Terre Haute is approximately 18,000 square feet training facility located just off Interstate 70 in scenic Terre Haute, Indiana that includes two shop areas, two classrooms, and a computer lab.
The main shop is located on the south end of the building where Apprentices and Journeypersons can find four welding booths and the materials and equipment to hone their skills in welding, concrete form construction, wood framing, form work, metal stud work, and level/layout work. Our North shop is where our members take classes on trim, ceiling grid, doors and hardware, and it houses our ICRA mock up, where we train our members in proper work procedures and protocol when working in an occupied healthcare facility.
Outreach is a huge part of what we do at the Terre Haute Campus. In the month of June, in a partnership with Vigo County Schools and WorkOne, we host a cohort training where career seekers have the opportunity to come in and be introduced to the trades, gain some technical and soft skills as well. If you check out our galleries tab, you will also see some of the community outreach projects that have been built by apprentices and members of Local 133.
We believe in lifelong learning and that it enhances job satisfaction, so we provide opportunity to continue education and training through a Journeyman’s career. Enhancement classes offered to our members include:
- OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Training
- Fall Protection
- 40 Hour Scaffold Erector
