Intro to Conveyor Belting/Splicing
Class Description:
The Introduction to Conveyor Belting/Splicing class is an 8-hour program designed to provide apprentices with a foundational understanding of conveyor belting systems and the splicing techniques used to join and repair conveyor belts. This course focuses on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle basic conveyor belting operations.
During the class, apprentices will learn about the different components of conveyor belts, including the belt material, pulleys, idlers, and tensioning systems. They will gain an understanding of conveyor belt types, applications, and common industry terminology.
Tools & Materials:
Hard Hat, PPE (Gloves, Safety Glasses, Work Boots), Tape Measure, Writing Instruments
