The Louisville facility shares a building with our Council offices and makes up 67,280 square feet consisting of three classrooms, one dedicated computer lab, and 54,700 square feet of training floor. The training floor has a 16,600 square foot area wood floor for the layout and construction of metal stud/drywall projects with our QML laser systems, wood wall and roof framing and layout with our robotic total station. Also in the carpenter area is an EFCO pile cap form and radius wall form system.
The millwright area consists 20,000 square feet housing 16 welding booths featuring SMAW, MIG and TIG welders, a fabrication area, laser shaft alignment props, power and free conveyor and roller conveyor. A 10-ton overhead crane is used for the disassembly and assembly of the 2000 KW/2500 KVA steam-powered turbine and generator. A head steel area is used to teach package handling conveyor installation, commonly used at the neighboring UPS Worldport. Additionally, we have an open area used for aerial lift training as well as our nationally recognized rigging certification.
