The Lafayette training center is the 29,000 square foot Lamkin building on the Lafayette Ivy Tech campus. There is a computer lab, two classrooms, a student break/lunchroom and a library. The Carpentry shop is 9,000 square foot on the main floor including table saws, thickness planers, jointers, band saws, shapers. Additionally there are all of the non-stationary power tools and materials to perform a multitude of framing projects (both light gauge metal and wood), concrete formwork systems, and scaffolding components as well as space for advanced layout classes and cabinetmaking. The second floor mezzanine is used to provide training for Healthcare Construction, interior trim, and commercial door hardware.
