MEWPs
Class Description:
The MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) class is a comprehensive program designed to provide IKORCC members with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely operate and work with MEWPs in various construction and maintenance scenarios. This course focuses on equipping participants with the expertise needed to ensure the efficient and secure use of these versatile elevated platforms.
During the class, IKORCC members will learn about different types of MEWPs, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and aerial work platforms. They will receive training on pre-operation inspections, understanding control systems, and recognizing potential hazards associated with MEWP operation.
Through a combination of classroom instruction and practical hands-on exercises, participants will gain proficiency in essential tasks such as maneuvering, positioning, and operating MEWPs safely. They will also learn about fall protection systems, emergency procedures, and best practices for load management while working on elevated platforms.
